The occupational therapists at Kinetic Rehabilitation Services help children develop age-appropriate social and play skills and self-care routines. Our occupational therapists can also recommend adaptive equipment to facilitate independence with age-appropriate activities. We evaluate each child’s performance on a variety of standardized tests in developmental areas in order to tailor a program to best meet their needs and achieve their goals.
At Kinetic Rehabilitation Services, our occupational therapists work with toddlers, children and adolescents with:
Sensory Processing Disorder
And many more diagnoses!
We also work with adults! For more information click here.
Is your child sensitive to clothing, loud noises, smells and/or movement?
At Kinetic Rehabilitation Services our occupational therapists work with children who have difficulties processing sensory information.
Is your child a “picky eater?” Does your child fall apart when presented with new foods?
We also specialize in working with Problem Eaters who eat less than 9 foods and have difficulty with textures and temperatures of foods.
Does your child have handwriting issues, forming letters and/or drawing?
Our occupational therapists also specialize in working with children who have fine motor difficulties which affects their handwriting, coloring and use of scissors.
Your child should dress comfortably for his or her appointments. Workout clothes or other light-weight clothing and sneakers are preferred.
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out the necessary medical and insurance paperwork, or please see our Forms page to fill these out at home prior to your appointment.
At your first visit, your child's occupational therapist will complete an initial evaluation and develop a plan of care utilizing a variety of treatment techniques and modalities while discussing your goals with you. At Kinetic Rehabilitation Services we strive to maintain a continuity of care where your child will work primarily with one of our licensed Occupational Therapists or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, who works under the supervision and direction of the occupational therapist.
